Understanding the Direct Antiglobulin Test
The Direct Antiglobulin Test (DAT), also known as the direct Coombs test, is used to detect antibodies and/or complement associated with the surface of red blood cells.
DAT testing can form part of the diagnostic investigation where immune-mediated red blood cell destruction is suspected. Results should be interpreted alongside the patient's clinical findings and other diagnostic information.
Feline DAT testing

- Supports investigation of suspected immune-mediated red blood cell destruction
- Available in individual and 10-test formats
